Hey SBS Squad!
The weather is changing, life is life’n and I’m taking it one day at a time. Despite what’s going on from day to day, one thing I vow to do, is put my best foot forward and look my best while doing it. On this particular day, we went out into the Downtown streets of LA and shot some content for the re-release of the Moshi Paperbag Pant! Keep reading to find out how the shoot went!
As we know, spring is here and the Moshi Paperbag Pant is one of my favorite pieces to wear while warm. Moshi is a refreshing piece to incorporate into your spring fling wardrobe! The material is warm enough to handle the cooler parts of the day yet cool enough to style with a light top. I chose to style it with a white beater crop tank, chunky accessories and my favorite pair of knee high white boots.
When it comes to photography, I shoot all over the city…but DTLA is a gold mine for street style photography which captures my creative vision nicely. We walked around a couple of blocks searching for colors, patterns and textures that would mesh well with the direction of the shoot. For me, location scouting is done on a whim, I just keep my eyes open for areas I like and take a mental picture in my head. Luckily, I was able to come across this beautiful mural and play up off of it’s warm vibrant colors.
I enjoy modeling my own pieces, and starting out would have to. As a result, I became really comfortable in front of the camera and felt confident enough to experiment with my own artistic expression. Most of the poses I do come from fluid movement. I love dancing, and I used to be a gymnast growing up, so movement has always come naturally to me. I like to jump, use my arms and capture moments of action. Doing this not only captures a great photo but it also creates a cool story.
So, there you have it!
A-little BTS of how I capture my brand content!
