The Parker Set Is Part Of Something Way Bigger

I look at these images and can’t help but think about the song “Bigger”, by Beyonce’. The lyrics really speak to me as I press forward to be all God has called me to be. This photoshoot was shot in Joshua tree, one of my favorite destinations to visit outside of LA. I didn’t realize it at first, but this zebra print pattern blends in perfectly with the rocky desert backdrop. I feel like I’ll see an antelope frolic in the background at any moment lol.
If you’ve never been to the desert, it’s a very grounding feeling. You feel connected to the earth. One with God almighty and his beautiful creations. Quiet and serene - it’s the perfect location for R and R. I won’t lie, as I was standing on this huge boulder, focused on trying not fall lol, I wasn’t taking in the splendor of the scenery. It wasn’t until after the shoot that I was able to marvel at how perfect the vision came to life.
I think life is like that. When we’re in the middle of our daily tasks, running around like worker-bees, we don’t have the time to stop and marvel at how how perfect the big picture is. We often feel small and insignificant. We’re tired and weighed down by the responsibilities of life. But set your eyes on things above! You have purpose! And be encouraged that we’re all apart of something way bigger :)
